about

SaaR is a 5-piece instrumental rock band formed in 2010 in the suburbs of Paris, France as a way to explore the unending possibilities offered by sound expression, in an instrumental rock configuration.
After the release of an eponymous EP in 2011 and first album 'The Last Day' in 2013, the band self-released 'Sol' in September 2016.
The overall sounds oscillates between heavy/doomy riffs (Rise, Sol...) and atmospheric/airy soundscapes (Dust).
The whole album has been produced by bassist Boris Patchinsky and mastered by Brad Boatright (Bossk, Sleep, Pelican...)

In Fall 2016, SaaR supported 'Sol' across different countries of west Europe (Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland), and by the time and experience forged a solid musical cohesion, which led them to record the track 'Fresh Grass'live at Studio 89, France with friend and sound engineer Jérôme Boussard.

The band is now writing a next album to come soon.
